SPECIAL SCREENINGS

FOX THEATRE NOVEMBER 11TH--1PM
ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S
THE LODGER: A STORY OF THE LONDON FOG
LIVE ACCOMPANIMENT BY BILL O'MEARA
A serial killer stalks the fog shrouded streets of London, seeking a new blonde victim each week. The city is on edge; its citizens gripped with fear.
When a mysterious stranger arrives one night at a boarding house and exhibits disturbing obsessive behaviour toward women, questions turn that uneasy tension to suspicion and then explodes.
This haunting thriller signals Hitchcock’s establishment of his distinct electrifying visual and editorial style and the true beginning of the “Master of Suspense”.
TSFF first screened the BFI restoration in 2014 as part of the Canadian premiere of the 9 restored silent films of Alfred Hitchcock "The Hitchcock 9".
